Thanks for the kudo's. It's a BLAST to drive, as you can gather by some of the video.
The police are VERY tight in this town, so you can't play much without getting caught.
Washington, D.C. till 1971 - now Daytona Beach, Florida
What's your ride(s)?
Classic Street Machine
About Me:
I served in the US NAVY from 1962 to 1972, (2 years, 1963-1965, aboard the USS Wasp CVS-18 out of Boston, Mass.). I was in law enforcement as a Police Sgt @ Daytona Beach Shores Police for 10 years till 1985 when I was injured on the job and retired on diability.
I've owned my 1966 Corvette since purchased new for over 42 years now. I began the full tube chassis, Pro Street custom body work around 2000 and finished it in about 2 years. Until recently I've done all the work, body and paint included, in my home's 2 car garage. It's NOT a check book car!!
I've done the Hot Rod Power Tour LONG HAUL in 2004 and part of 2006 with this blown monster, the Hot Rod Power Festival and many other major shows and events including the 2008 Daytona Beach Dream Cruise in November, so yes, it's street driven.
I know you fellow gear heads can appreciate all the long hours and hard work it takes to create and maintain a ride of this level.
Enjoy, Glenn.
Welcome Glenn! Ron here site moderator and fellow gearhead! Bet it was some wild times as an officer at Daytona huh? You doing the Power Tour this year? Love to see some pics of the Vette!
